Get Out...

How will "getting out" help you become more productive by actually doing less (the promise of this weekly series of articles)?

Hmm.

Think about this for a second.

Got an answer?

No worries, I'll help you through this little needle of a topic as you read this.

The Problem:?I Don't Get Out Much

This week, imagine you and I are at a local meetup together.

In person.

You decide which one. And, why are we there?

ME: "Hey, how are you?"
YOU: "I don't get out much."

I get it.

As an introvert who has been sitting behind the screen even more than normal for the past 4 years... ugh.

Remember it's now been over four years since we all "locked down" temporarily for the pandemic.

Some of us have not gotten out much since then.

It was supposed to be temporary (zoom time flies - hi!).

Because. People. [ shrug ]

The Actionable Tip: Get Out

It's time.

Get out.

This means you could join a local meetup (like one I am involved with in Richmond, Virginia (scrumRVA.org).

For this meetup specifically, we are starting the "rebuilding" of the face-to-face meetings post-remote-only-world (and a reminder -- it's got over 2000 members today from around the world).

This means yeah, we need to put on clothes and get in a car and meet somewhere together face-to-face.

Food and beverages help (hint hint!).

So.

How will this help you do less in order to become more productive?

Because. People. [ un-shrug ]

Think about it.

In the comments below, please share?ONE?actionable tip about how you "get out" in order to do less and become more productive.

Ping me here if you want to get out together somehow and somewhere (and yeah we can use the cheat-code of ZOOM or a telephone call together)!

Thank you!

My actionable tip is to get out and get in front of clients. Be it meeting at client locations with them, or participating in one of the many conferences available, there is nothing equal to face-to-face interactions to get me, energized and productive.
