Get Off The Phone
I have noticed that we are growing cell telephones in our ears. Everywhere we go, people are talking on their cell phones; at restaurants, in church, at business meetings, etc. If not talking, they are texting; in their cars, at home, walking down the street. It is like we are addicted to the cell phones. Fifty years ago, we did not know what a cell phone was. Now, we are using them all of the time. Maybe we should take a break.
Regardless of how convenient a cell phone is, face to face meetings are still the way to go. Looking a person in the face who is across from you does more toward bulding a relationship for the long term. And, you get to see the reaction of the person. There is nothing like looking the person in the face to see if they are telling the truth.
Take time out during the day to visit with people, expecially your family. We need to get off of the telephone long enough to listen to our family and see what they are doing. I use to live in a really good area of Houston with affluent families. However, it supported the largest Justice of the Peace court in the United States. and 65% of the cases were children from affluent families. Why? Because the parents did not have time for the children. Put down the cell phone and talk to your children.

6 年William Sawyer, I think at large is get off the internet and all digital distractions. As a kid growing up in the US during the 90s, our entertainment was the playground and basketball courts. Now I think it's gaming and streaming on Twitch and watching YouTube. Times surely have changed!
