Get Noticed On Social Media By Being 3 Dimensional

Today's article is a bit different in that I want to share something a bit more personal with you. I've really been learning that your personal brand isn't what you think...but it's so much better than you think it is!

A personal brand is YOU as a brand, while that sounds simple too many of us (myself included) overthink this. The key element that I see missing far too often is personality, hobbies, and life through your lens. You need to be a 3-dimensional person, not the thing that you do or sell.

I love fitness, nutrition, BBQ, filming content, YouTube, and helping others to build their businesses. When I have created content in the past it's been highly tactical and 1 dimensional, mostly explaining how you can do something. I haven't really brought them all together in a way that is completely me and that is what I am changing this year.

If you are an N=1 in your niche, you are the niche. You're likely to have far less of an audience but that audience will connect with you deeply (search '1,000 True Fans' for a fun rabbit hole) is much better than a vanity metric of subscribers/followers. (An audience of 10,000 with a deep connection is worth far more than 10 million with a very shallow connection.)

That said I wanted to share one of my passions. We traveled to Austin Texas for a BBQ trip last year (we are going to do it again this year) and I got to combine BBQ, YouTube, Filming, and spending time with friends all in the same video. (I hope you enjoy it)

The point of all this is that social media is only getting more saturated. You can try to dominate in your niche by being the best or you can differentiate yourself so you are memorable. If you are unique enough those who really connect with you will remember and come to know, like, and trust you.
