Peace and Love, Peace and?Love
The legendary Sir Ringo Starr announced his new NFT collection this week making him the first ever Beatle in the metaverse.
The 81-year-old icon, who is currently on tour with his All-Starr Band, released a statement along with the original artwork that will be released for auction. Two of the pieces are galaxy themed mixed with vibrant colors and the other two are self-portraits of the drummer himself from the early Beatles era.
“I’m excited to share my first venture into Web3, ‘Ringo Starr NFT Collection | The Creative Mind of a Beatle’ Each NFT comes with a signed print and access to join me on an exclusive virtual tour of the ground-breaking digital gallery experience, RingoLand. Peace and love!” Ringo said on Twitter.
Presented by Julien’s Auctions, the live auction will take place on June 13. It will also be supported by CarbonFund.org to offset the project’s carbon footprint.
Looks like Ringo will get a lot of help from his friends to make this project a success!
eBay
This week it was announced that eBay will officially launch an NFT collection. For their first journey into the metaverse, the e-commerce giant will be joined by NHL legend Wayne Gretzky.
The collection features animated versions of The Great One inspired by Sports Illustrated magazine covers. The NFTs are currently available on eBay’s marketplace, but they have already sold out entirely.
By partnering with OneOf, eBay is also looking to make their blockchain environmentally friendly.
“Through our partnership with OneOf, eBay is now making coveted NFTs more accessible to a new generation of collectors everywhere. This builds upon our commitment to deliver high passion, high-value items to the eBay community of buyers and sellers,” said eBay’s VP of collectibles.

Magic in the Metaverse
Wayne Gretzky isn’t the only iconic athlete to launch a new NFT collection this week. Lakers legend Magic Johnson is dropping his own NBA Top Shot collection on June 7.
The project, titled ‘The Anthology: Magic Johnson’, is the first collection that Top Shot has released commemorating NBA legends. NFTs will feature memorable moments from Magic’s career including championships, baby hooks and flashy passes. 1,600 packs will be available for purchase with each costing $399.
Notable moments not featured in his highlight collection include The Magic Hour talk show and his tenure as the Lakers General Manager!

One of the most important factors that goes into building a trusting community is a precise execution of your strategy. This begins at an executive level as it is extremely important for all staff members to be in communication and on the same page. This way, content, web design, social media, and customer service heads are all communicating the same messages to the audience. Having a team that trusts in each other helps potential collectors trust your project.
Step 4: Make Sure Site is?Ready
Hyping up your drop will begin with your website. All social media channels should link to the site and it should be completely prepared for heavy traffic. Many issues can happen when a site crashes during a drop. Unfortunately, it is something that happens quite often. Communicate with your team to ensure that tests are run and that your site will be fully functional come drop day.
