Get to Know Reimagine Power's Strategic Growth Advisor, Amanda Almasri

Amanda Almasri (she/her) is Reimagine Power’s Strategic Growth Advisor. She was raised in Cleveland, Ohio, and remembers the beautiful summers yet brutal winters of the Ohioan lakefront. Funnily enough, Amanda grew up down the street from Allie Detrio , Reimagine Power’s Founder and Chief Strategist. The two have known each other and have been good friends since their days in grade school and have kept in touch as the years passed by.

After graduating high school, Amanda stayed in Cleveland to attend Case Western Reserve University. Following her time at Case, she began the trek for her Master’s degree in Business Administration at the China Europe International Business School, where she spent around eight years studying in Shanghai, China. During that time, she connected with an American clean energy advisory company, Clean Energy Associates (CEA) . There, Amanda obtained an internship working directly with the CEO of the company and realized the true effect of climate change. This newfound experience was enthralling and led her to pursue more work in the renewable energy sector. After her eight-year tenure in Shanghai, Amanda finished her studies and earned her degree in London, England at the London Business School.?

Soon after obtaining her degree, Amanda moved to San Francisco and reconnected with Detrio. Their rekindled friendship sparked a newfound opportunity to professionally collaborate and Amanda joined the team as Reimagine Power’s Strategic Growth Advisor.?

Amanda’s favorite part about working with Reimagine Power, and in the renewable energy industry as a whole, is that every day is completely different from the last. New policies are constantly thrown around and the market is always fluctuating. She also enjoys working with the Reimagine Power Team which is chock full of knowledgeable and supportive people who she can work cross-functionally with, not only to help them but to learn from as well. Amanda shared that, “Every day brings about new changes and it’s not just a desk job.”

Outside of work, Amanda is a fervid nature enthusiast. She loves to do yoga as well as attend concerts and comedy shows with her husband. Every weekend, she and her husband try to do trips with their dog, whether it be beach strolls, mountain hikes, or anything in nature.?

Thinking about the new year and what challenges are to come in the rest of 2024, Amanda looks forward to working even more closely with both Detrio and Christine Hutchison , Reimagine Power’s Chief Administrative Officer, as the trio continues to carefully mold the workstreams of Reimagine Power. In an industry where so many actions and decisions happen on the fly, Amanda is happy and proud to be able to help organize any chaos that arises.
