Patrick has been employed by Steyr Motors since March 2019 as a dedicated part of our R&D team. Specialising in Expert Electrics & Electronics with a background in Mechatronics & Digital Applications. From the age of 6, Patrick was highly interested in the electronics of modelling rc-cars and rc-helicopters which he enjoyed building in his spare time. Patricks career kick started with a keen interest in developing our gen-set engines and pioneering a hybrid power pack.

Patrick’s main goal is to design products for our customers that are the most efficient and effective on the market, specifically during installation and active application. ‘What’s special about our products is that they are distinctly unique, as we customise our products to ensure each engine specially suits the application. Nothing we offer is “off the shelf”, all our products are completely unique.’ Patrick looks forward to the future of the R&D department and strives to develop hybrid options both for our engines and specialised components. With a specific goal of offering high-power Electric Systems (Parallel Hybrid/Gen-Set) in multiple different applications and within different market segments such as the industrial engine market. Patrick looks forward to continuously pushing the boundaries within the R&D department creating new innovative products for our customers worldwide.
