Q: What made you join the team at JCG?
UN: The interaction between me and my recruiter (hey Silverlee!) was honestly one of the most genuine interviews I've had with a recruiter in a while. The growth and longevity of people at the company intrigued me. This made me believe that JCG was more than just a clothing brand but a place that appreciates the people in front and behind the scenes and prioritizes career development.
Q: What made you raise your hand to be the Co-Chair for NOIR? What does NOIR mean to you?
UN: I came from previous companies that either didn’t have Black AIGs or had them but didn’t quite meet my expectations. After joining JCG and learning about NOIR, I knew if wanted to be part of another company AIG, I had to be in a position where I can make my expectations a reality.?

To me, NOIR means friendship, community, laughter and most importantly comfort.
Q: How do you envision NOIR will impact the home office? What are you most excited about in the upcoming year?
UN: I'm hoping that it will build friendships, invite people to introduce themselves to one another, start conversations and to eventually have prompt weekly/monthly lunch meet ups in the lounge area.
I'm very excited to see how much we grow by the end of the year and how the overall energy and dynamic will change as we gather more often in person.
Q: What are your plans to honor and celebrate Black History Month?
UN: To be very intentional with whom and what I support. I want to give back and shine a light on as much black owned businesses and media. From foundation by Pat McGrath to the "to My Sisters" podcast, my support for everything black amplifies all month.
