Who she is and what her job is? She'll tell you!

2. What is your job description and what are your core tasks?

"My job is very wide-ranging. On the one hand, I make sure that our developers can do their best possible job every day and that we work towards a common goal. On the other hand, I am the interface to other teams and to our users and work out the path that our product will take in the future. This responsibility results in a variety of tasks with a wide range of strategic and operational topics."

3. What does your day-to-day work look like?

"Every day is different! Part of everyday life often consists of communication, e.g. in meetings or through enquiries from colleagues and customers. Another part consists of research, analyses and creating materials, e.g. to break down a complex problem and make it understandable for everyone, to develop our own ideas and work together to find the best possible solution and implementation."

4. What is your "epilot story"?

"I started as a working student at epilot in 2019 while I was still writing my master's thesis on peer-to-peer electricity platforms for my degree in Entrepreneurship & Innovation. I found out about the position through our dear colleague Lena from the marketing team, as we already knew each other from our studies. I had previously worked both as a product manager and in the energy sector and wanted to join a start-up - so it was fate that I started full-time as a product manager in 2020 and have had a great experience with epilot since then!"

5. What is your motivation in your job?

"In product management, I particularly like the mix of creative and analytical work and the collaboration with many different parties from design, development, customer success and directly with our users. Every day holds new opportunities that you can tackle together with a great team. We also operate in a complex market and work on a product for many different user groups, which means I am constantly confronted with new challenges and it never gets boring."

7. What advice would you give to others who are interested in Product Management?

"If you are fundamentally interested in digital products and want to develop them further, just give it a try!"

8. What is your quote of the day?

"Life comes from you, not at you - every opportunity is what you make of it."

9. Which other team do you work most closely with and how?

"Alongside my colleagues from product management, I work most closely with the "Mosaic" team, consisting of 6 developers, a designer and a project manager. We are a team that works remotely all over the world, which also makes it special. We continue to develop our product together, especially in the areas of customer/installer portal and messaging."
