Who are you, what’s your role and how long have you been at LIVES?
Hi, My name is Chris.
What does your day to day look like?
For just over 3 years, I’ve been a Pre-hospital Educator and Internal Quality Assessor at LIVES Education Ltd, having transitioned from East Midlands Ambulance Service.
Every day brings something new at the charity. One day I might be training staff at a GP surgery, the next I’m leading a 5-day FREC 3 course for a diverse group of learners across the county. Variety also extends to running courses like the Rescue Trauma and Casualty Care course for the Fire Service and other larger businesses in high-risk industries. I also spend time assessing the fantastic educators we have, ensuring first-class delivery of courses across the UK, as well as keeping all our courses up to date and current.
What’s something about your role that might surprise somebody reading this article?
For a touch of drama, I occasionally become a casualty actor for larger courses or other agency exercises.
Why should people support LIVES?
Honestly, before moving to LIVES, I wasn’t too familiar with the charity. Now, I’m constantly impressed by the incredible work we do throughout Lincolnshire and beyond.
