Get The Job: 3 Interview Tips
Hey all,
I have been working on figuring out what seperates the job getter from the job seeker and in the process I have made some pretty simple discoveries. Although they may seem small, if implemented they can produce big shifts in your hire-ability.
without further ado, here they are:
1. Don't interview for a job, interview for the position.
Often times it seems people are searching for work out of desperation, and rightfully so...life can get expensive, I get it. Although the desire to have a paycheck is great, that passion is short lived if you don't have a desire to honor the position. When expressing your commitment to your potential employer, express your understanding, your desire and your potential within the position you are interviewing for.
2. Research and understand the company you are interviewing with beforehand.
If you interview with a company, Make sure you have an understanding of what they do, and what your role would be there. It is as easy as going to google and finding the company website. Read up on the employer, show a sense of passion and potential pride in working there. The more you are willing to be a part of their dream, the more likely you are to become a part of their team.

3. Be fully present in the interview.
You wouldn't believe the amount of times that potential associates dedicated time in their interview to scrolling on their phones....If you are scrolling through your phone in the interview...Mind you, in front of the employer....odds are you'll do much worse behind their back. When you show up to the interview, SHOW UP. Be early, stay off your phone off and look that employer in the eye when you talk. You'd be surprised at how far a connection could take you.
Honestly, the work is out there if you want it....You just need to want it.
If you are ready to get to work, don't hesitate.
