Manuel is the author of 12 novels and one short story collection. ? Has won the Colorado Book Award twice. ? Was honored with the Chicano/Latino Literary Prize from the University of California at Irvine. ? Was a finalist for the prestigious Edgar Award from the Mystery Writers of America and the Shamus Award from the Private Eye Writers of America. ?
