Get hired on LinkedIn FAST!

You have got your account all set up, profile all ready. Now what?! How do YOU get approached by hiring experts on LinkedIn. Here are points which will get you noticed.

1. Use the new "open to work" LinkedIn badge. Why? because, it gets the hiring party the attention they want when they are looking for candidates.
2. Use a proper headline e.g. "Technical Project Manager, Available immediately or Technical Project Manager, Looking for new opportunities". When recruiters are searching for candidates, after looking at the badge, they go for the title or the headline.
3. Make sure you select the right location. You don't want to set the location, where you'd like to work or you want to work. Set the location where exactly you are. Tons of candidates get searched through their location.
4. Leave your contact email address or your number in the summary if you're looking for opportunities, why? Helps the hiring party or recruiters to contact you even if you're not using LinkedIn frequently.
5. Make sure you have updated your professional experience in descending manner (latest first) and each work experience is properly closed and explained. This helps a lot when recruiters are filtering before the interview. If the recruiter has complete details of your work experience and it matches their requirements, you have high chances of getting hired.
6. Make sure to contact the hiring party or recruiters. If you find someone is hiring and you match their requirements, reach them out! It's always better to approach the hiring party rather than commenting on their posts as "Interested or Please review profile". It does not help!
7. When a recruiter or hiring party approaches you, make sure you tell them everything correctly with no lies. Candidates often lie to recruiters or hiring party out of desperation which is actually a bad idea. If you have any problems or concerns, raise them to the hiring party or recruiters. THEY LISTEN!
