Get on the GPA bandwagon at UKREiiF

Contemplating UKREiiF, I’m excited. Not because I’ll be performing with Brickwork and Friends (limited tickets remain - proceeds to LandAid ??) , but because I’ll be attending with talented colleagues from Government Property Agency , who I know will come together with industry experts, to create something really special.

In five months with the organisation, I’ve been struck by the sheer potential that the GPA’s work has to stimulate regional prosperity as we do our bit to deliver the Government’s Places for Growth programme.?

From building new hubs in cities like Darlington and Manchester, to upgrading offices in Bristol and Cardiff, our projects are creating opportunities for local economies – creating inclusive and flexible buildings to work in, establishing new employment centres, attracting talent and opening the door for many more people to enjoy fulfilling public sector careers.?

It’s hugely rewarding to create great places to work for UK Civil Service colleagues, helping bring the Government closer to the communities it serves. It’s a remit that is seeing us lead one of the biggest workplace transformation programmes underway in the UK right now.?

We’re motivated to help bring efficiencies to government commercial real estate. We have delivered over ￡200 million in savings to the taxpayer through the consolidation of the Westminster office estate alone, whilst helping to relocate over 16,000 jobs out of London and into the regions across the UK.

All these opportunities can be amplified and tuned when we collaborate with others. Our ability to support regeneration is far greater when co-creating with local and combined authorities. The halo effect of our developments goes further when others choose to invest alongside and co-locate their schemes, so we're always keen to explore opportunities for private sector partnerships.
