To Get Good Leadership Skills

Team – Where the Leaders and Team members work together to accomplish their target.

Team Members – the key of generating the revenue for your business. Teams are the way that most companies get important work done.

Leader – the person who inspires the team members to accomplish their goals.

Without active team members, a leader cannot be successful and without a leader a team member cannot be successful.

When you will combine the Knowledge, Energy and Skills of a motivated team, then no one can stop you to accomplish anything you set in your mind.

As a Leader, it’s your responsibility to keep your team motivated.

How to do this?

I have seen many of the employees don’t feel that their work is appreciated which leads to demotivation. Remember, no team members want to leave their organization, they leave their managers. Every time it’s not necessary that you only give command or suggestions to your team members to accomplish your target. Encourage the members of your team to fully participate by inviting their input and suggestions on how to do things better. Ask questions, listen to their answers and whenever possible implement their solutions. Appreciate their work time to time.

Offer opportunities for self-development to your team members. When your team members will work on the same pattern and on same working style, they will get bore. Your team members will be more productive, when they have opportunities to learn new skills. Provide your team with the training they need to advance their skills, careers and to become knowledgeable about the latest technologies and industry news.

To make a healthy and productive team it is very necessary that your team members are happy. Keep an eye on whether or not your people are happy with their work, their employer and you. If they are not, be ready that they will spread negativity about these to others.

Never create any differences among your team members. For working as a team, this is very important to treat all the team members as a same and distribute equal opportunities to all. When a team member is called as a non-performer than their manager is equally responsible for that team member if they are not performing well. Rather than focusing more on the performers, focus on the non-performers. Analyse their challenges and give solution to them.

We all make mistakes and also, we learn lessons from our mistakes. It’s a part of being human. Rather than shouting on their mistakes, teach them, give solution to their problems and encourage them to try again. It’s obvious that many times your team members make a blunder mistake and you get angry and shout on them over the floor itself which is a bad sign for you. They are not children and by doing this you are developing negativity in them because none of the people will love to get scolded in front of everyone. Always take your team member in separate and talk them about the scenario. There also, while talking about the mistakes teach them, give solution to them so that they will not do the same mistake again.

Always asking about the completion of work is done or not and giving pressure about this may lead a demotivation in your team. Understand the challenges of your team members as a friend not like a hitler boss. This may can scare your team members and they will hesitate in asking the real challenge they are facing.

You as a leader have to set the clear goals with the sequence of priority work so that your team will not say that they were not aware of what work was a priority. As a leader, it’s your job to tell them. You as a leader have to set the targets and also its your job to give the best ways to achieve them.
