Getting physically fit in recovery is not only beneficial for your overall health but can also be a powerful tool in supporting your ongoing sobriety journey. As your Coach this is a testament to the transformative power of recovery, I want to share my personal story of how recovery has been the foundation of my physical fitness. For the past 35 years, I have embraced a lifestyle of recovery starting with getting clean and staying clean and utilized it to propel myself towards achieving remarkable physical feats. Through consistent dedication to my recovery, along with practices such as meditation three times a day and juicing fresh vegetables and fruits daily, I have experienced profound transformations in both my body and mind.Working out on my own has allowed me the freedom to design a fitness routine that caters to my specific needs and aspirations. Drawing upon my own experiences, I have tailored my workouts to focus on areas that I desired to improve. With the mindset of continuous growth, I have conquered incredible challenges, including climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and running 250 km across the Sahara Desert. These achievements stand as testaments to the power of perseverance and the limitless potential that lies within each of us.In addition to my personal accomplishments, I have also sought guidance from qualified fitness trainers. Through one-on-one training, I have received personalized workout plans that consider my unique goals, fitness level, and physical limitations. This collaborative approach has not only ensured effective and safe workouts but has also allowed me to push beyond my perceived limits. The guidance of these trainers has been instrumental in my journey, enabling me to run half marathons, 5ks, and 10ks with remarkable endurance.Embracing the power of community, I have also found solace and inspiration in group fitness classes. As a dedicated member of CrossFit for 9 years, I have experienced the support, camaraderie, and motivation that a community united in pursuit of fitness goals can offer. The structured nature of group fitness classes has instilled discipline and fostered adherence to a regular workout routine. It is within these classes that I have witnessed the undeniable power of collective determination and witnessed incredible transformations in not only myself but also those around me.My journey towards physical fitness has not been solely focused on the external aspects of my body but has also emphasized the importance of mental well-being. By incorporating meditation into my daily routine, I have found inner peace, clarity, and emotional resilience. The practice of meditation, three times a day, has allowed me to cultivate a deep connection with myself, fostering a sense of balance and harmony that extends beyond the physical realm.Another key element of my fitness journey has been nourishing my body with fresh, nutrient-dense foods. Daily juicing of fresh vegetables and fruits has provided me with an abundance of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, supporting my overall health and vitality.
