Get down off your high horse?

This is what people say when they cannot stand your light, they cannot stand what you stand for... but ultimately, they have feelings of loss over not reaching for their own goals.?

It is a tactic to pull you down.?

It may even feel embarrassing to them.?

It may make them feel less than.

And sometimes, they do not realise it because it is entrenched in past hurt.

We cannot account for other people's feelings and hurts, only our own... because

And it is NOT about you! Nope. It has NEVER been about you.

However, when the words are directed our way. We have the ability to take them personally and stop what we are doing.

We stop speaking our truth

We stop standing up

We stop being consistent?

In turn, we start stunting our growth and our learnings. Instead, we may start to see a repeating pattern of these moments in our life. The ones where we speak when we are spoken to by people of influence, we may be told to pipe down and our comments are dismissed.?Influence can be those we see as maternal or paternal figures, we trust them, so it must be true. So, we get down of our beautiful stead to sometimes make ourselves and others feel comfortable.

But, deep down we may have a burning desire to say something and a desire to be heard. Why? We have something super important to say and we want to say it in our way with our voice. And do you know what?? Our body wants to voice it... and...

People, (yes!) people, WANT to hear it and they are waiting for you to say it.?

Now, we have a choice... to allow the words you were told to stunt you or to grow you.
