German Millionaires Eye UAE amid Growing Political Instability and Economic Uncertainty in Europe

A growing number of German billionaires are considering relocating to the UAE amidst rising political tensions and economic uncertainty in Europe, according to a new study by global investor immigration consultant Arton Capital.

This shift comes as the UAE experiences a historic rise in global passport rankings, becoming the first Arab nation to reach this milestone, following its recent inclusion among the world’s top 10 most powerful passports.

The study, which surveyed 1,000 German residents with a net worth of at least 1 million euros ($1.08 million), revealed that 37% of high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) in Germany are contemplating a move after the recent national election.

These findings align with industry observations, with experts noting a significant increase in Germans seeking second citizenship options through interviews with Arabian companies in recent months.

Canada remains the top choice, with 29% of respondents expressing interest, followed by Australia (22%) and the US (16%). The UAE ranks seventh, with 11% of billionaires indicating interest in relocating to the Emirates. Dubai, which already hosts over 200 billionaires, is ranked among the top 15 cities globally for ultra-wealthy individuals based on its latest assets.
