Rioting over Georgia's New Foreign Agents Law

Georgia, not the American state but the country, is mountainous and lies off the southeastern shore of the Black Sea.

Here, in Stalin’s birthplace, people are rioting in opposition to a new law about to be enacted by the ruling party. The law will require political organizations receiving over twenty percent of their funding from abroad to register as foreign agents.

Notice that the law does not forbid politicians from taking foreign bribes. It only requires those venal enough to get more than 20% of their money that way to admit to it.

The fact that more than a handful of people could oppose such an anti-bribery and anti-foreign interference law suggests that either many are already being bribed by foreign agents and/or they are too young to have experienced the tyranny of the top business and industry gangsters, a tyranny made possible by dollar democracy (general elections as opposed to hierarchical elections, at least within a ruling socialist party).

The controversy also strongly suggests that NATO is trying to divide and conquer Russia on more than one front. For what is happening in Georgia appears to be a replay of what the top Western gangsters and their secret police agents did in Ukraine: (1) secretly bribe and corrupt politicians -> (2) engineer a coup de’ etat and -> (3) pull the country out of the socialist and into the imperialist camp.
