At the recent 2020 Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) South Australia Awards ceremony, George Whittle Reserve was awarded the Landscape Architecture Award for Play Spaces.
The project was a collaboration between Council and our consultant, JPE Design Studio (in conjunction with Convic, Seb Humphreys and Aspect Studios).
The jury commends “the design process which focussed on collaboration to deliver a play space which respected the positive nostalgic connection of the skating community and built on the reserve’s potential to create a reserve for everyone”.
I would like to thank all who were involved to create the vision for George Whittle Reserve and execute it so successfully.
