Geodetica’s Erika Prior receives a much-deserved DG Commendation

We are so proud to announce that Erika Prior , Business Operations Manager for Geodetica , has been awarded a DG Commendation for her work as a Risk Coordinator in the Project and Product Management Office, Maritime Integrated Warfare Systems Branch.

This wonderful recognition is a testament to the hard work and effort Erika brings to her role every day, and to the significant achievements she has delivered for our client.

Distinctly acknowledged in the award is her “tireless and exemplary performance”, “contribution to rapidly improve the status of risk management”, “leadership skills and tenacity” and “risk and stakeholder management skills of the highest order”.

This is now the second award Erika has received, with the first one being for her involvement in the AIR6500 project.

Of receiving the award, Erika says it has been a substantial undertaking but incredibly rewarding.

“I was surprised to receive the award as I wasn’t expecting it at all, especially as this role was a new area of expertise for me. The role was a challenge from the start, assisting in building the MIWS PPMO from the ground up. Led by a small but amazing team, everyone in our team worked so hard so we could get all the practices and processes of risk management in place.?

“The award was the result of several peers urging for my recognition, which is incredibly humbling as I do take my work very seriously. I consider this honour not just as a personal achievement but a reflection of our collective dedication and teamwork. I could not have achieved it without the support of my superiors and the people who have worked alongside me – to me the team is always the most important part of any project.”

Moving forward, Erika is excited by the opportunities that now lay ahead for her and the team in 2024.

“Everything is in place now so I’m eager to move forward with our many plans and ideas in the risk space, including delivering training so we can uplift the capability of new team members as they come onboard.”?
