Yeah, spring is here!

My garden is finally coming to life and the flowers are coming out. Even my Genie Magnolia tree is flowering - which I didn't expect at all.

So what went on in March? well what didn't go on in March? I have felt I have been in the eye of a storm, trying to keep my cool whilst the whole world was just in chaos around me.

I have spent more time in Hospital, at the doctors and at dance practice than I can remember over the last couple of weeks. Everyone is well but it really made me appreciate the flexibility that I have with the work I do, and really why we do what we do.

With everything else is going it has been easy to get frustrated when once again regulators are asking for more information, which they generally have already got in some form or another. I don't really see the point in asking for information for the sake of it - this doesn't really help with the actual oversight of businesses which is what they are there for. However like I say, we choose to work in a regulated world so we navigate it as best as we can - this is why it is so important that the right information is collected throughout the business to reduce the impact of the ever changing requirements. Thankfully it's something that I love to do - but the initial steps to putting the processes in place and getting the information in the first place is like wading through mud!

What else has been happening in the world of the Genie? well for those who saw, we were granted the Trademark for our new business venture. My friend and I established a business just before Christmas and whilst we both specialise in different things, whilst supporting each other it became obvious that our strengths were something we were each missing in our own businesses. We wanted to help others in both their personal and business journeys, as the two are so intertwined.

For so long I have wrestled with how I combine how I have developed and grown in my personal life with how I support businesses. A key thing that I have been missing is how I not only support businesses but the individuals within them - for so long I have avoided this as I didn't feel it was a strength of mine. Being open to how this can work, has led me onto the next stage of the Genie, the one who fully owns her magic and being open to how we actually bring the magic into the world of the mundane.

I am now starting to see others in the world of finance who are actually on the same journey. Those who are realising that its not just all about working 9-5, it's not just about having the time freedom to be with their family, it's about removing the noise, the stress, the outdated beliefs and realising why we are actually here in the first place, and having the tools and support we need to find we place in the world and to fulfil our purpose which is ultimately to be happy.

Imagine a world that is full of individuals who don't have a bucket list, they have a live list! This is what will create the next generation of businesses and fulfilled individuals within them which in turn positivity impacts the next generation.

Ooh that was a bit deep - but then again I am writing this as we are coming into a Solar Eclipse, a New Moon Eclipse and it's Mercury Retrograde - which is why I have hidden inside for the day. And whilst the new business isn't linked to Astrology, we will be using astrology for its development. As JP Morgan said 'Millionaire's don't believe in Astrology the Billionaires do'.
