Generator:-

It is a very important resource for generating power for all types of remote areas. The electricity is a very important resource required for operating all types of machines for all types of applications.

Types of generator based fuel used

  1. Diesel generator
  2. Biogas generator
  3. Natural fuel generator
  4. Methanol generator
  5. Sewage gas generator

Types of generator by usage

  1. Standby
  2. Prime
  3. Emergency
  4. Backup

Based on frequency:-

  1. 50 Hz (1500 rpm)
  2. 60 Hz (1800 rpm)

Cooling system:-

The cooling system is very important for generator engines. Varies type of cooling system used in the power generation field some of the listed below,

  1. Remote cooling system
  2. Vertical Cooling system - Engine-driven fan
  3. Vertical cooling system - Electric motor-driven fan
  4. Air-cooled charge air cooler
  5. Water-cooled with heat exchanger - intercooler

Most of the generator using the water-cooled intercooler. lower rating engines they have used air-cooled charge air cooler.
