Generative AI at Work

Friday last week was a fun day for me, we live in the “East Valley” here in Phoenix and one of my networking friends who works for Paycor a large payroll and HR technology company invited me downtown to join a Networking/Guest Speaker event all about generative AI in the workplace.?
I enjoy Downtown Phoenix, mostly because that is where I was able to wrap up my Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Wellness and the campus is very different than most. It's spread out throughout downtown and I had a lot of classes at a building called Mercado right next to Chase Field where the AZ DBacks play.
The event was a WIN WIN….WIN for me since I got to consume the education provided by an MBA Marketing professor from U of A's Eller School of Business talk all about generative AI, meet some great possible referral partners I can follow up with, and a solid protein-based lunch.?
I learned a lot and some people in the crowd felt the need to bring up the dark side of AI- one guy even asked if it would take over humans and be smarter than we are… It was interesting, to say the least.?
The professor brought the discussion back to reality and shared that for any AI tool to be effective- that is must be guided by an effective prompt. At first- it's going to be a little rocky until the human fine-tunes the prompt in a way that gives the AI tool what it needs to generate what the human needs.?
U of A is actually placing MBA students inside of businesses to create generative AI models for their operations, business marketing, sales team, and even customer service. The students get a first hand look at the real work world and the business gets to lean into the bright minds of the MBA program... I may even consider partnering with them to help us create BETTER marketing for our LinkedIn clients... stay tuned.
What a great tool. I even learned that a new job specialty is coming from this progression in technology a job title called a? Prompt Engineer. This person is responsible for the education of the generative AI on what it needs to produce to align with the business.??
Pretty cool stuff in my opinion and we can basically all be Prompt Engineers of our own business, right??
I use ChatGPT pretty much daily and have gotten fairly savvy with how it works.?
For example, you can name your Chat’s different things based on what you want it to produce, I have “Wellbeing Consultant” as a Chat and use that to help with client communications and programs, and then another chat called “Weight Fat Challenge” and it created recipes and education to help people reduce body fat.?
For fitness professionals, create one that you can tell all about your ideal client, your brand, and have it create you things like a lead magnet, your email newsletter, and even things like onboarding sequences for new clients.?

Specify with your prompts things like ideal client age, day to day schedule, hot buttons, and what they are looking to accomplish.
The better prompts you can provide AI the better outcomes you'll get.
Here are a few of the key takeaways I got from the event:
How have you used generative AI to create resources for your business??
Reply and let me know!?
