Generations at a crossroads: Debunking Myths, Bridging Divide

Generations at a crossroads: Debunking Myths, Bridging Divide

I'm reaching out with a request that might feel a bit familiar to you —the same kind of request we've all made at one point or another during our professional journeys, especially when we're pursuing further qualifications or involved in deep research. It creates that slightly uncomfortable feeling, but it is important and necessary, and that is to reach into our professional network for support.

Seeking support from our professional networks feels very uncomfortable, but it’s a necessary step we all take at one point or another. Despite any discomfort, leveraging our connections for guidance and assistance is not just a choice but an intelligent decision. I am currently in such a situation, and I am trusting that utilising my network will help me overcome the challenges ahead.

I'm excited to be presenting at a TEDx event this July on a topic that's timely and deeply relevant to any workforce and industry: the impact of generational differences on motivation and engagement.

This investigation is a cornerstone of my MSc Psychology dissertation and it will be featured in my TEDx talk, which aims to shed light on these dynamics and propose new paths for enhancing workplace cohesion and productivity.

I'd love to hear from you: What motivational factors have you noticed across different age groups within your workplace?

What motivates you at work?

?? Is it salary,

?? A good day's work,

?? Work-life balance

???? or something else?

Your insights are invaluable and will enrich the discussion, offering real-world perspectives that are essential to both the audience at the TEDx event and my academic research.

I'd love to hear your thoughts, so please share your thoughts and experiences; they are crucial for bringing this presentation to life with diverse perspectives.
