Generational Transition at Reifenh?user

As of July 1, Marcel Perrevort (46) has been appointed Chief Sales Officer (CSO) of the Reifenhauser Group . He succeeds Ulrich Reifenh?user, who had been in this position for more than 25 years. With this decision, the family-owned machinery and plant manufacturer is consistently continuing the already initiated generational transition in its management structure.

Perrevort has held various sales and management positions within the Reifenh?user Group for over ten years – most recently as Managing Director of Reifenh?user Blown Film. In his new role as CSO, he is primarily responsible for the Group‘s sales and service strategy and its alignment with the activities of the business units.

Control Technology as an Efficiency Booster

Energy costs are the biggest challenge in plastics processing, besides the prices of materials. Temperature control is essential and directly related to product quality, so energy-efficient systems are more important for efficient and eco-friendly production. The new REGLOPLAS AG eMold Series with ΔT control expands the existing capabilities with a highly efficient measure.

To Know What Happens in High-Pressure Resin Transfer Molding Tools

During the production of fiber-reinforced plastic composites (FRP) using resin transfer molding (RTM), various defects and flaws can occur, such as fiber misalignment and fiber waviness. With high-pressure RTM (HP-RTM) in particular, fiber displacements are caused during infiltration by local peaks in the flow velocity. With the help of phased array ultrasound technology (PAUT), IKT - Institut für Kunststofftechnik has succeeded in gaining detailed insights into the ongoing process. These can be used for process monitoring or to optimize mold filling simulations.
