Generation Z -The one big change you can make.

Something that has been bothering me for several years is the arrival of Generation Z into the workplace and the disruption it’s causing amongst the previously most hated generation the dreaded millennials.

For Gen Z this is the number one change I would like to see you deliver in the #roaring20s.  

Dispel the snowflake & work harder than the millennials. 

The harder you work the luckier you get. It's true.

All those people you know, like, trust, respect, and admire in the millennial group (23-35ish) worked incredibly hard to get to where they are today. Millennials have earned their seat at the table. 

For ten years or more they grafted. 

Harder than you even could understand so far in your careers. 

Maybe it was fate, serendipity, luck or destiny, regardless, every single one of them worked blood, sweat and tears to achieve their current success. 

Hard work is the one thing you can 100% control. You can choose to give it everything or less but hard work is 100% YOUR choice. 

I don’t mean work all the hours - you’re smarter than that. But remember, those that you admire & inspire today in the workplace probably did. Certainly during the early part of their careers. 

I would recommend you do the same.

Not because you have to but because you want to. I love #ultraflexibility but please recognise the scale of change you will become responsible for. 

A job is a gift. An opportunity to prove yourselves to the world. 

No hiding in the classroom or behind daddy’s skirt. 

The whole world is available to you and the whole world is watching. 

So go out there, go all the way and prove yourself. 

Gain the trust of your seniors so that they can truly rely on you. Inspire those that inspire you. 

Generation Z - you are the future for ten years only (when gen Alpha inherit your new title of most hate generation).

Seize your moment. 

As Darwin says; those that survive are those that are most adaptable to change.

You Zedders own that. 

Now prove it.
