Generating Music From Scratch With OpenAI’s Neural Network Model

This is pretty crazy right? Even a thought about it. Though I imagined this to happen soon, even worked on something similar in early 2010, but my team (that became a core of DFAD www.dfad.us) was really too early on this, we stopped half way through and have not touched it since.

Over the past few years a method called generative modelling has made various groundbreaking progress. One of the crucial goals of generative modelling is to capture the important features of the data and create new instances that are indistinguishable from the true data. 

So what happen? Why do I write about all of it? Well just recently one of the top AI research labs, OpenAI who's audio team has been working tremendously in the domain of neural networks, reinforcement learning has introduced a new machine learning model known as Jukebox that generates music while singing in the raw audio domain.
