Our client, an ASX-Listed critical minerals explorer, is currently searching for a General Manager Exploration to join the leadership team and support the advancement of its international battery metals projects.???
As General Manager Exploration, you will be at the forefront of the company's exploration efforts, responsible for devising and executing strategic plans for a world-class portfolio of lithium projects. Reporting to the CEO, duties will include:
- Direct the design, execution and management of exploration programs, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets and safety protocols;
- Develop and communicate a visionary exploration strategy in alignment with the company's objectives;
- Analyse and interpret geological and geophysical data to support exploration and targeting decisions;
- Collaborate with the board, internal management, consultants and contractors to ensure informed decision-making in relation to discovery efforts;
- As projects advance, contribute to the development of resource models, guiding project development strategies;
- Ensure positive relationships with local communities, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders;
- Identify opportunities for improvement and operational efficiency to achieve superior exploration outcomes across company projects;
- Drive business development outcomes, ensuring awareness to market conditions and portfolio acquisition or divestment opportunities.
- Bachelor's Degree In Geoscience discipline - Postgraduate qualifications advantageous;
- Proven leadership experience managing robust exploration programs;
- Working knowledge and experience with lithium is advantageous;
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate cross-functional teams;
- Proficiency with geological modelling software, GIS tools, etc;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions in complex scenarios.
