When a function does not satisfy the condition at a point, it is said to be discontinuous or to have a discontinuity at that point. e.g. tanq has discontinuities at ‘q’ values p/2, 3p/2, 5p/2………… (2n+1) p/2. A function is continuous in an interval of ‘x’ if there are no points of discontinuity in that interval.

My dear readers may think the questions are offbeat type. But for the kind attention of my readers, let me state that a good student sometimes must go for some offbeat reading. All the time if they go through the textbooks, there will be no difference between an ordinary student and a good student. Now-a-days we want to get things instantly like instant coffee. Unfortunately there is no system till date where you can get knowledge instantly without any effort. It is not an ATM, where one has to just zip the card and have the money (obviously it is not self-earned money. It is given by the parents). Just imagine a eutopian system where one can zip a card and have some knowledge from an AKM (it is assumed that knowledge is deposited by some well wisher). If that happens, students and people will try to obtain maximum knowledge with least labour according to their requirement.
