• Education and Experience ?Minimum Job Requirements?J.D. from an American Bar Association accredited law school, licensed to practice in Kentucky and be in good standing.
• At least 5 - 10 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Experience with drafting and negotiating real estate documents.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Job Responsibilities:

• The Corporation as a Client:Reviews, researches, interprets and prepares both written and oral opinions on a wide variety of legal issues pertaining to the staffing industry, compliance, human resources and employment law, among other things.
• Prepare and negotiate purchase agreements, LOIs, commercial and service contracts, construction contracts and various other legal agreements.
• Drafts, reviews and approves policies and procedures, regulations, bylaws and other legal documents.
• Assists the CFO to close purchase, sales and finance transactions.
• Corporate Compliance:Identifies, develops, communicates and monitors policies which will ensure compliance with law by the entire enterprise.
• Analyzes and counsels regarding new legislation, new tax regulations, government relations that affect the company in the jurisdictions we do business.
• Provides evaluation and training to team members on legal and compliance matters as they arise.
• Outside Counsel Management:Assures the availability, continuity and quality of competent, timely and cost-efficient legal services for the company’s endeavors.
• Selects and retains outside counsel, as required to handle claims and litigation.
• Internal Legal Department Structure:Oversees the corporate-wide legal function from defining and developing corporate strategies to monitoring the legal budget.
• Other Duties as assigned:Formulates corporate policies involving law, such as conflicts of interest and standards of business conduct.
• Collaborates with executive management, the IT department and other stakeholders to enhance and enforce the Company’s Record Retention and Management Policies to ensure that all legal records are compiled and securely maintained for the required time periods.
• Based on the business needs, travel as needed (domestic and international)
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
