5 Reasons why Zycus should be on your Resume

I help organisations build exceptional teams , robust infra and compliant ecosystem across the globe
It's my last day at Zycus & in my next role, I would be trying my hands at scouting Talent for an industry I have never worked in.
Thank you all for the wishes & congratulatory messages! Many have asked about how I made the switch, what were the decisions I made at Zycus that helped me, what Zycus as an organization has offered me as an Employer..etc. If that’s interesting to you, read on.
But before you start reading this. Let me lay out a few "ground truths" to set some context :
1. Don’t outsource your career: Life is uncertain. So can be career paths. I have been jobless few times in my career. Some of you might have been. What is important, however, is that you must take charge of your career, take ownership for shaping it, and make developing it a priority.
2. Mentors - Find one, be one: One shouldn’t underestimate the importance of a mentor who would spend his/her time and expertise to guide your development. Being a mentor and mentee to someone will help you in more ways than one and build your profile a holistic one.
Now, coming back to why I strongly believe that an organization like Zycus needs to be on your CV, here it goes:
1. Focus on your strengths, let your weakness not be that big a concern. Time & again, there will be HR initiatives that will draw your attention to what your areas of improvement are, & the battery of training and interventions to “relieve you from those flaws” that are stopping you to grow. At Zycus, HR focus is on your strengths and they believe in honing them, rather than dwelling a lot of time and energy on what doesn’t work for you – Saves a lot of time, to be honest.
2. Work as if your career depends on it: Folks at Zycus work on any project as if their career depends on it. The enthusiasm, drive, and energy levels aren’t just buzzwords but basic DNA that will always extract the best out of you, even when you don’t want it some days.
3. It's not B2B, it's not S2P, its P2P – Don’t take me literally. Of course, we are Business to Business, and we are Source to Pay. But more importantly, we are People to People. Zycus taught me how the most complex problems, unattainable goals, and hopeless situations will find a way out – if you know how to deal with people – the most underrated skillset no MBA curriculum teaches you.
4. Shake a leg with the CEO : Believe it or not, my biggest critic, my best teacher and my support system in Zycus has been Aatish – Founder CEO of Zycus ( Don’t waste time, he isn’t on LinkedIn) Be it Philosophy, Entrepreneurship, Family, Career, Books, Coffee, Photography or Fitness, we have discussed everything under the sun & my last 3 years with this IIT Mumbai / Cornell graduate were nothing less than a crash-course on how to find success in whatever you choose as long as you have razor sharp focus.
5. Method to Madness: Ask any Zycat about the org, & they will say it grows on you. The only Indian product company, making it to Gartner’s MQ as a leader for not one but 4 consecutive years – something must be invariably different about it. And that differentiator is a different level of agility, a method to madness than runs through leaders, executors, departments, and system.
I am leaving Zycus with a lot of learning, mentors, mentees, friends for life and memories that I would cherish for the rest of my life. An opportunity at Zycus in my formative years will ensure I pick up my lessons well and thrive for bigger goals, better future, and meaningful life.
So this message is for all the aspirants, if you are really looking for some kickass work, awe-inspiring colleagues and a place that will have your impressions irrespective of what your role is, Come to ZYCUS and give your career a platform it deserves.

5 年Wow! That you would write an ode of sorts tellimg the world why your previous employer is the great place to work that it is speaks volume about the organization and its core values. You're fortunate. And I wish you similar fortunes ahead. But this is one end of the spectrum. So many employers treat employees as less than. So many companies treat us like subhumans. Especially fresh/recent graduates who don't have lengthy work experiences or sophisticated/mature skillsets. By your posts it clear as daylight how Zycus celebrated you as an employee and in turn you returned the gesture in kind. As an infant-jobseeker (less than two years' of work experience) does one settle for anything? that comes their way? Or does one have the basic right to dream for and asprie towatds Zycus-like firms where they feel like the right-fit professionally? Where they are taken cared of in terms of HR policy, employee rights and fair treatment? Where are paid duly both with regards payrate as well timeliness of payment? Or as a recent graduate you are not entitled to the above? You don't get to make an ask for what you deserve? Does the less experience or underdeveloped skillset entitle you to no clauses ofyour own? Is the Zycus-like culture an ivory tower privilege reserved for those with lengthy years of experience only Do? Should they just accept anything that they're offered no matter how beneath it'm is because the "job market isn't great right now" or they have "insufficient experience"? Are inexperienced youngsters any less human? Have any less dignity? Are cattle?
