Welcome to Generation Z.
Considered by society as the generation that no longer communicates. Considered by ourselves as the generation that will not settle for anything less than extraordinary.
Born after the year 1995? meaning the oldest of us have just bounced out of our teens. But in those two decades many of us have come to realise that we are the change makers that our world needs.
76% of our Gen. Z humans are genuinely concerned about man’s impact on the planet and 26.4% of teenagers between 16-19 have already committed to volunteering of some form according to the U.S Department of Labour. We have been blessed with the education that informs us of on the impact of our human footprint and we have made it our mission to share that this is our only planet that is perfect for human life.
I recently had a chat with Heather Miller, Founder of The Kindness Hub, about why making an impact is important to our generation,
It was what we were born to do on this planet. Every footstep, every moment, every breath an opportunity to magnify the human spirit. Sometimes it feels like the world just needs a little tap on the shoulder in order to be reminded that there is a beautiful sunset happening right behind them!
Gen. Z already knows what they want and the majority of them are not afraid to run for it. We are the generation that will not just sit there if we have something to say, as America seen with the student-led 'March for our Lives' campaign which erupted after the Florida school shooting.
We are the generation that cares more about the impact we make than the income we earn.
We are Generation Z.
