The Outreach and Program Manager identifies, invites and secures international delegates and speakers from around the world for the Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC) 2023 which will take place in Melbourne, Australia in May 2023. Leveraging GEN’s Board, Program Committee, partners, stakeholders, VIP contact network and other connectors, the Outreach and Program Manager determines how to reach them, crafts personalized invitations and follows up for a decision. The role reports directly to the GEC Chair, Jonathan Ortmans.
- Identify potential delegates, discussants, key non-financial partners and speakers?through independent research, input from the GEC Program Committee, coordination with GEN program leaders and liaison with key GEN and MCI strategic partners.
- Determine the most effective means of reaching the target participants and non-financial partners, including using connectors, LinkedIn, email, phone and other channels.
- Conduct outreach, issuing invitations and following up.
- Staff the GEC 2023 Program Committee?by:
- Working with GEC Chair and Program Committee in ensuring the agenda evolves in a timely fashion.
- ?Maintaining the master GEC Matrix schedule
- Preparing and sending individualized invitation letters from the President and others
- Maintaining the list of “to be invited, invited, pending and accepted” speakers, panelists, session partners and discussants
- Following up on speaker invitations answering questions as to format and role
- Issuing speaker confirmations and ensuring a smooth transition of confirmed speakers to the speaker managers at MCI.
- Ensuring speakers are listed on the website and the Communications Team has clarity on the program and speaker status and the public program on the website is up to date.
- Partner Led Session Content:?Manage Session Selector process for assessing third party applications for session at the GEC.
- Track general delegate outreach in Hubspot CRM?and send confirmation emails to acceptances turning them over to MCI logistics operator for GEC onboarding.
- Manage Key Global Non-Financial Partners?serving as relationship manager with key brands and organizations participating in the GEC.
- Support the President?in other capacities as required in following up with important relationships developed for the GEC.
The candidate must be experienced and knowledgeable about innovation ecosystems, startups and the entrepreneurship constituencies that surround them. The candidate should have a keen attention to detail, have excellent external written and verbal communications skills.
