If you had attended the last DMD meetup you might have seen how Gen AI took a U Turn.
It's all about numbers.
Open AI may be the market leader in the Gen AI category but they have only 180.5 million users.
Which may sound impressive, unless you take a look at the daily users and its only 13 million.
Now compare that with the 3.24 billion daily users that Meta has.
To dominate the market, you need mass adoption.
The B2B sector doesn't have the scale that B2C has.
So, automation, design, video and writing won't bring in enough revenues for Open AI.
They desperately need to get out of the $2 billion range that they are in now and get to the $281.5 billion range that Google has.
Only B2C can get you there.
The Gen AI U Turn is happening and its Open AI moving from small time business tasks to areas like dating, health and wealth.
Chat GPT Omni taking stock of the surrounding instead of adding more data is a perfect indication where things are headed.
Yesterday, Apple unveiled its new Apple Intelligence system at WWDC 2024, aiming to create a hyper-personalized AI assistant for everyday tasks.

Guess what Apple Intelligence is pushing into?
Apple is not creating AI to help companies make better products or market them more efficiently.
Apple is not creating AI to automate business tasks like organizational work.
Apple Intelligence aims to build AI that helps billions of people do everyday stuff more easily.
This AI will know your favorite restaurants, the sports you follow, the news feeds you read, how you craft emails and texts, the music you listen to, the shows you watch, and more.
It's attempting to help you lead a healthier, happier, richer and more fulfilling life.
People expected Open AI to bring out Chat GPT 5.
It's natural to go from 4 to 5.
But in LLMs, its not productivity to do that after reaching a limit.
Instead, Open AI went ahead and created Omni and now through Apple Intelligence, they have started taking a U Turn from B2B to B2C.
If the category leader makes a U Turn, the rest of the pack won't be far behind to do the same.
