Gemstone Stamps

Australia is no stranger to gems and stamps with gem and mineral graphics. Australia post just released a new booklet of stamps called “The Rare Beauties: Extraordinary Gemstones.” Stones featured on the stamps are the golden sapphire, pink diamond, rhodonite and fluorite. These 4 polished stones were all mined in Australia and are housed in Sydney at the Australian Museum. The series includes $1 and $2 stamps for all your postal needs. Australian mined stones are quite valuable and are known to be unearthed without any human or environmental conflicts.
