#Gees #Recycling at #JEC #World 2022.
#JEC #World (the most important and leading international trade fair in the world dedicated to #composite #materials and their applications), which takes place every spring in Paris.
#Gees #Recycling participated in the Conference on #sustainability bringing our experience of #recovery of #composites. The theme of the Conference was "Design for #Circular Composite Products: Transforming #Waste, #Recycling and #Reuse into Opportunities".
#Composite materials are preferred for many engineering applications due to their superior durability and strength. However, proper #disposal and #recycling of waste at the end of the useful life of #composite materials is required for a future #circular #economy.
Many current and future #waste management and environmental legislation will require engineering materials to be properly #recovered, #recycled and #reused from products such as cars, #wind #turbines and #aircraft that have reached the end of their useful life. Although many technologies such as mechanical #recycling, thermal recycling and chemical recycling have been developed, they have not yet been fully commercialized. Extensive research and development is underway to develop more #recyclable #composite products and better #recycling technologies for #composite materials. Once #recycled, these #recovered materials must be valorised and reintegrated into production. This will significantly contribute to the #sustainable development of the #composites industry towards a more #circular #economy with the goal of zero net #carbon #emissions.
Even today, #Gees #Recycling is confirmed to be one of the few industrial #composites #recycling companies operating technologically and commercially, having already started a distribution of #Recomplax #recycled #panels at European level.
