GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy ’s BWRX-300 small modular nuclear reactor is a simpler and more cost-effective way for utilities to decarbonize than other nuclear technologies. In Canada last week, the Province of Ontario announced that it is working with Ontario Power Generation to begin planning and licensing for the deployment of three additional BWRX-300 SMRs.
