Last weekend at the 10th annual Reagan National Defense Forum in Simi Valley, California, GE Chairman and CEO and GE航空 CEO Larry Culp spoke about how GE Aerospace, which powers around two-thirds of U.S. military aircraft today, is innovating to meet the challenges of 21st-century military aviation. “Day to day, we’re right there with all of our military customers, assuring readiness while we invest in next-generation platforms,” he said. A New Dawn for Arabia
It’s week two at the U.N.’s Climate Change Conference (COP28) in the UAE, and we’ve put the spotlight on the energy transition now underway in neighboring Saudi Arabia. The kingdom has begun shifting toward a more diversified energy portfolio, with new developments like the construction of the region’s largest solar plant. And to lower emissions in the electricity sector, GE Vernova has collaborated with Alfanar Projects and the Saudi Electricity Company to transition a large fleet of GE Vernova’s 7E turbines to run on natural gas instead of liquid fuels at one of the largest power stations in the world.
