GE: 120+ years, and just getting started

Hello, connects!
Have been getting a few texts and phone calls over the past week as I sink my teeth in here at GE Digital. Yes, THAT GE. The iconic global brand, founded by Thomas Edison, that is still innovating the world as we know it. I felt the need to write this to address a few things:
The general public has been following the ups-and-downs of GE for generations. From its founding in 1892, to being a top-performing stock, and present state in an environment of constant change. Change that is necessary.
View from Inside:
I get it, I read the cases studies. I took a look at changes over the recent years. However, the work being done by GE to align with customers on a global-scale is extremely exciting. I sit at the intersection of the "Physical" and "Digital" world--something you will hear me talk a lot about. At its foundation, GE Digital's technology is far and beyond more advanced that what people think. The employees here bring a combination of 1,100+ years of industry experience, along with passion for emerging technology. Cloud, AI, Machine Learning, Predictive Analytics, etc. get tossed around all day long--but here it is on the cutting-edge. This team is currently MOLDING the future of technology as we speak.
Technology for the Greater Good
Leaving my past company was a tough decision, but I found my passion in the mission of GE: Building a World That Works. The same technologies I mentioned above, aren't often thought of when you hear "Power Plants", "Grids", "Nuclear", and others. The fact is, GE technology is making these assets more reliable, efficient, and stable. In the cloud, or on-prem. we are deploying aaS solutions that are the reason behind why you can turn your lights on or take a hot shower. Users of our products can predict outages, schedule maintenance, deploy remote teams, and determine output requirements within seconds. This means catching potentially catastrophic events in advance that can lead to millions in losses or terrible environmental impact.

Looking Ahead
There are plenty of things that I can't share on what the future holds, but it is exciting. GE is committed to continuing its investment in our clients, employees, and planet. Thinking about being energy efficient is a thing of the past. The time is now for Energy Transition. With GE Digital becoming more focused, the future of energy & power is in good hands. The commitment to remaining that Leader in the space is incredible and everyone is aligned to a common goal.
It feels great to say that the technology I care so much about has the ability to change the world for the better.
Stay tuned as I learn a whole new set of acronyms, meet new people, and sink my teeth in the expansive global footprint of GE.
Happy Holidays :)
