GDPR = Privacy by default

 As an active website owner, you must have already heard about GDPR, If you haven’t, then you should.

If you, or your organization capture, store, handle or share any kind of personal data then you should learn more about this sooner than later.

Back in early 2016, major reforms to protect date was voted in the entire EU by the European Parliament.

Those reforms came in two parts: General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) designed to give EU citizens better control of their personal data, and the Data Protection Directive, which covers how personal data is used by police in the EU.

GDPR is a huge change for business worldwide and its impact is going to be huge and will come into effect on the 25th May 2018.

The GDPR sets out the principles for data management and the rights of the individual, while also imposing fines that can be revenue-based to the tune of 4% or annual global sales or $23.5 millions (whichever is higher).
