GDPR - Never Mind the B.....
The looming GDPR seems to be causing a lot of healthcare practitioners concern, as is reflected in innumerable conversations in forums across Facebook and elsewhere.
Because the regulations cover both storage of medical records and use of data for marketing purposes, it's easy to feel confused by what you can and cannot do.
The trouble is, all those claiming to explain the impact seem intent of doing nothing more than trying to precis the regulations themselves. What practitioners want is a simple "How to..." guide.
So that's what we're doing.
On 20th March I'll be interviewing expert barrister Simon Butler and solicitor/osteopath Paul Grant to provide a clear-cut guide to what's the same, what's new, and what you need to do. We're on air from 7:30 to 9:00pm.
This will be broadcast live through The Academy website and in our Facebook Group. You can ask your questions throughout the show, or post your concerns here for me to raise with either of my expert guests.
If you aren't an Academy member, all is not lost - there's a very inexpensive trial option available. Well worth it to make sure that you don't fall foul of the law!

7 年I will be there Stephen. As you point out everyone is summarising GDPR without saying what it actually means in practice, particularly regarding the impact on therapists. It will be good to hear what the experts have to say ??
