GDPR Law: surprise! You've been fined!

Since May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation has been imposed within the European Union but, has become actively enforced since August 2019.

The GDPR, in theory, is a good thing. It enforces the "right to be forgotten" while making sure companies stop selling you (yes, YOU) as a product in a billion dollar market. For such, a business owner who conduct business online is required to provide the user/customer with a clear statement on why information it's been requested and, how it will be used.

We all know that, like with online movies and music industry, GDPR is already becoming an excuse for profit through lawsuits and high fines, specially in countries like Germany and Spain. The difference is, this time, fines are towards business owners followed by a high
