The European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which comes into force on the 25th of May 2018, will not only harmonise the privacy laws in the different European countries, but will also introduce some of the most stringent data protection laws in the world. It is vital for anyone working with customer data, whether it is in IT (e.g. big data projects), marketing (e.g. campaign management), HR, communication, finance, ... to be familiar with its contents.
Of course, you can find the GDPR document on the Web in 24 languages (English pdf version here), and you can find the URLs in a previous linkedin post.
However, to make access to the GDPR document even easier, DLA Piper has created a mobile app, called "Explore GDPR". It is available on Apple iOS and Android devices. You can use it to read the full text of the GDPR wherever you are and whenever you need it, in 13 languages, search for specific details, and it shows related articles and recitals. Searching can be improved (e.g. made cross-lingual and more lenient towards typos), but switching between languages is extremely easy and the app works very well.
You can find this must-have information-at-your-fingerprint GDPR resource at https://www.dlapiper.com/en/hongkong/focus/eu-data-protection-regulation/explore-gdpr-get-the-mobile-app
