GCSIT Launches a Tech Podcast - The Thing about IT
GCSIT is proud to announce that we are launching a new technology podcast. Our own Brian Heck will host. Brian is a solutions architect and account executive focused on hybrid cloud, virtualization, and digital transformation of the datacenter. He has spent the past several years assessing, installing, and upgrading technology solutions spanning virtualization, compute, and storage products. He is responsible for delivering data center transformation, virtual end-user computing, converged infrastructure, and cloud computing solutions to our clients with a strategic, comprehensive approach. Brian will dive into our clients’ burning questions around information technology, solutions integration, and current tech trends. In this podcast we will talk about all of it – the good, the bad and the lessons learned.
Our first series is all about the Cloud and our first guest is Seth Edvalson. Seth has architected and designed networks and Microsoft solutions for hundreds of companies. He has managed teams of network engineers that have implemented, managed, and administered everything from Cisco firewalls to Dell servers and workstations to Microsoft operation systems and server solutions, including all versions of Exchange, SharePoint, Active Directory, IIS, and many versions of SQL. Seth currently architects and implements migrations to cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure and MS365, and trains managers and administrators on best practices around the Azure Well-Architected Framework and Safe Landing Zone principles.
Cloud adoption is no longer a nice to have, in fact, it’s mostly a given. So, in this inaugural episode, "To Cloud or Not to Cloud" we'll discuss the reasons why companies are moving to the cloud as well as why businesses who are?still hesitant should seriously consider it, or risk being left in the dust.
In the first series, will center around Microsoft and some of the topics that are top of mind; the challenges, the benefits, as well as some use case examples and how-to tips that can help you decide the best route for your business. We will explore:
