Polar ice and glaciers started melting 22 thousand year ago to make almost 130 meter sea level rise but in every LIA they gain a little ice again with a little sea level sink as a result.

We had -2x20cm=-40cm sea level sink from 1200A.D. (when Brugge was "the" Belgian/Flemish harbor) until 1700A.D. (before Antwerp harbor took over the intercontinental traffic).

But sea level has been rising again since 1700A.D. and will probably keep on rising another century with +3mm to +4mm SSLR per year until the next LIA starts the next SSLS="Solar Sea Level Sink".
