Gazelle Spotlight – Q&A with Dipika Kaur, Senior Delivery Consultant
What motivated you to join our company, and how has your journey been so far?
When I was searching for a new job. I was looking to be in an environment of growth and opportunities. Having a few conversations with the Team Lead and Sales Director made I understand the role and the company and everything it had to offer me. I could see the potential for growth and learning and that motivated me to join the business. The journey has been incredible so far. Lots of learnings came along the way, I believe I am learning something every day.
Can you share some of your most memorable experiences or achievements during your time here?
Most memorable experience: with the team, of course, I am delighted to be part of a team/company where everyone truly wishes the best for each other. Every moment of celebration is wholesome with the team.
Professionally, getting to the top of the leader board and building a contract runner book. Personally, last year’s achievement was also gaining confidence in how I speak to the candidates and the hiring managers.
What advice would you give to someone who is just starting their career in our industry?
My advice would be to be patient and curious. Patient because learning sales takes time and seeing results takes longer. A lot of people would just quit after not seeing the results, the idea is to hang in there. Curiosity gets you far in this job. It’s all about being genuinely interested in understanding people. Success is usually around the corner when you feel like giving up.
What are some of the most exciting parts of your role?
The most exciting part is to be involved in a full cycle from finding the talent to placing the candidate. The fun part is that we get to impact lives. I have had people tell me how this one particular job changed so many different aspects of their life.
What do you find most challenging about your role, and how do you overcome those challenges?
Time is a challenge, we see some incredible talent in the market and I wish we could place them all. I try to ensure all our incredible candidates are vetted and in front of the hiring managers as quickly as possible and I also ensure I work closely with the client to ensure the hiring process is fast and efficient. This way I can maximise my time by filling multiple roles and getting as many of our fantastic candidates in front of clients. A clear process and good candidate and client management is key!
How do you maintain a healthy work-life balance while excelling in your job?
Nature walks: this job can get overwhelming at times what really keeps me grounded is the nature walks. I make sure I am walking every day to enhance my mental capability to deal with so many things at the same time

What are some of the key skills or qualities that you believe contribute to your success in your current role?
Qualities: passion for the job - it's one of the key reasons why people are successful in what they do.
Skills: Ability to bounce back. Having this skill helps massively. Because you will have bad days in this job it’s about how long it takes you to get over it as it's only then you’ll move forward.
Can you share a personal or professional goal that you're currently working towards?
professional goal of mine is to evolve into a managerial role, hands on but still be able to inspire a team to go beyond.
How do you stay updated and continuously improve your knowledge and skills in your field?
I am big on learning, it’s important for my personal and professional development. I love listening to podcasts and audiobooks. I also work on intrinsic self-reflection, I do this by journaling.
Can you provide insights into your daily routine and how you manage your workload effectively?
I wake up at 6 am. The first few minutes - I feel the gratitude to be living this life and that everybody around me is healthy.
Then a 30-minute meditation - helps me keep grounded and small nuisances during the day don’t bother me anymore with consistency with mediation.
During lunch, I like to take a quick walk around the business park and I love catching up with my colleagues.
Evenings - exercising/ yoga/ walks/dance classes and I love socialising.
What's the most valuable lesson you've learned during your career that you think would benefit others in the organisation?
Be grateful for every opportunity that you get and grab it with both hands!
