Gaze

Gaze

As a first, I consider gaze as one of the significant indices for measuring pretend competence.

I have learned to restrict my comments on the way people look, because in most cases except for deliberate choice, no one can predefine their appearance and attributes. So, while it is convenient to talk about the face of individuals, I choose a higher ground – how they choose to look. This as well is a very subjective index because some can naturally have gentle-looking faces, or generally smiley-faces or in the alternative, naturally hard-looking or sad-looking faces.

Hence, gaze for the purpose of this newsletter is held as the way you ‘look’ at/on issues. This is also largely dependent on experience, tradition, exposure, and competence. I have heard arguments, commentaries, and opinions that almost wowed me until I decided to take a backseat and refocus on the messenger to find out that the ‘highly held opinion’ was based on hearsay rather than the outcome/output of personal introspection. In short, na copy copy.

This is not in any way to discount the message. However, one shortcoming of continued exposure to this kind of ‘messaging’ is the trust that is bestowed on the messenger. This usually last up to a point when you become in need of a true message, which turns out unavailable, because in the first instance, the messenger’s opinions are largely copied – not original.

Don’t fall for it.
