“Visitors are loving our permanent gifting concierge,” says Gateway’s Marketing Manager, Ayesha Sewbaran. “It’s our pleasure to wrap gifts purchased at the mall and valued over R350 in a range of Valentine ’s-themed paper.”

Sewbaran explains that the gifting concierge is a complimentary service which switches to a donations-based operation as a charity fundraiser for special occasions. In the run-up to Valentine’s Day, donations at the gift-wrapping concierge will assist the children’s charity Reach for a Dream.

“Gateway is popular for Valentine’s shopping,” Sewbaran says. “From the risqué to indulgence spoils, or surprising someone with a gift you know they want – the mall’s range and price points are unmatchable.”

As an on-the-day venue, Gateway has a few romantic love-themed activations ready to drop. Couples looking for ‘date night’ fun can catch a movie and dinner at one of the many restaurants around the Palm Boulevard. If the relationship is at the ten-pin bowling, go-karting and coffee shop stage, Gateway has that too.

Gateway will be sharing the love for more than just one day. “Visitors to the mall will encounter our photogenic Love Booth and the interactive Love Installation in the days leading up to the Wednesday and into the month of February,” Sewbaran says.
