Gateway Maryland’s 2024 Annual Report: A Year of Impact, Growth, and Transformation

We believe that communication is the foundation of connection, and in 2024, we took bold steps to expand our impact. From increasing our reach in speech therapy and audiology to growing our ASL education programs and interpreting services, this year has been one of transformation, resilience, and unwavering dedication to our mission.

Our 2024 Annual Report reflects the tangible ways Gateway has strengthened the community, empowered individuals, and created more opportunities for people to understand and be understood. Here are the highlights:

By the Numbers: A Year of Unprecedented Growth

4,000+ lives transformed through Gateway’s comprehensive services.

A New Chapter: From HASA to Gateway Maryland

One of the most significant moments of 2024 was our transition from HASA to Gateway Maryland. This wasn’t just a name change—it was a reaffirmation of our commitment to breaking down barriers to communication.

“Our new name reflects not only who we are today but also the boundless opportunities ahead. Together, we will continue to break barriers, foster understanding, and create a world where language diversity is celebrated, and every individual is valued.” — Erin Lamb, Ph.D., M.S., CCC-SLP, President and CEO, Gateway Maryland

With this rebrand, Gateway strengthened its role as a trusted resource, offering audiology, speech and occupational therapy, interpreting services, and ASL education under one unified mission.

Expanding Educational Access: The Impact of Gateway School

  • 3,742 speech therapy hours and 2,024 occupational therapy hours provided.
