Garma Key Forum calling for keynote speakers 3 - 6 August, 2018

Each year, the Yothu Yindi Foundation provides the platform of our Key Forum where speakers are asked to present on various topics related to Indigenous Affairs. The matter of Indigenous Affairs for all Australians as a nation is currently one that requires substantial progress, if we are to move forward collectively in unity. The division between our nation on black and white matters is not healthy, and we must all try to stamp out the division where we are capable of doing so.

Our speakers are diverse, some from the very remote regions, others from an academic, economic or business background, and others bring their own political flavour. Some will share their stories of success in challenging circumstances, while other addresses will speak to new programs being rolled out across the nation. Some speeches will attempt to explain why congestions occur within indigenous policy. The voices of our youth are also given the opportunity to share their visions for their future.

Expressions of Interest to speak at the key forum is open online now HERE and will close on the 27 April, 4:30pm NT time. The audience you will be speaking to average 500+ at highest peak, and it will be posted to the Garma You Tube channel 2017 Opening, and usually broadcast live by the major media outlets attending Garma. The YYF steering committee will make the final decision as to whether your application has been approved based upon its current relevance to the state of Indigenous Affairs today; and whether it enhances the working goals of the Yothu Yindi Foundation, Garma and Australians as a whole.

Speakers from last years Key Forum can be found HERE on page 23 - 26 of the 2017 Garma program.
